A neatly arranged wellness workspace on a light oak desk, featuring a closed linen-covered journal with a slim pen resting diagonally across it, a glass of infused water with lemon slices, and a small sand timer mid-flow. In the background, a soft-focus bookshelf holds balanced rows of health and mindset books alongside a few leafy plants. Gentle morning light filters through an unseen window, creating soft highlights on the glass and warm reflections in the wood grain. Photographic realism, eye-level composition with shallow depth of field, calm and professional mood, conveying preparation and real-life progress planning without any human presence.

Starting in Winter 2027

Crossroads Wellness exists to make whole-person health understandable and doable. We break wellness into eight clear dimensions and give you practical education and experiences, so you can take small, steady steps toward a life that feels balanced.

Programs

A serene corner of a modern living room set up for restorative stretching, with a charcoal-gray yoga mat unrolled on matte hardwood flooring, a neatly folded cotton blanket, and a pair of cork yoga blocks aligned beside it.

Every workshop, coaching relationship, and experience starts with a guided wellness assessment that maps your strengths and gaps across all eight dimensions — so you leave with next steps you can act on right away.

A polished kitchen countertop transformed into a practical wellness station, featuring a wooden cutting board with freshly sliced colorful vegetables, a clear glass container of overnight oats topped with berries, and a stainless-steel water bottle standing upright.

Workshops: Live group sessions that turn wellness research into simple, usable practices — sleep routines, boundary-setting, and resets for the environments you live in.

A cozy reading nook designed for emotional and intellectual wellness, showcasing a plush, textured armchair with a folded knit throw resting over one arm, a small round side table holding a closed hardcover book, a ceramic mug of herbal tea, and a softly glowing salt lamp.

Coaching: One-on-one intensives focused on a single dimension at a time, so you build habits that actually fit the season you’re in.

Experiences

A tranquil outdoor pathway at a leafy urban park, with a well-maintained gravel trail curving gently into the distance, bordered by mixed-height shrubs and mature trees in early morning light.

Immersive experiences and retreats that let you practice new skills, connect with others, and leave with a concrete progress plan.

Wellness that fits real life

Hi there, allow me to introduce myself and share the heart behind Crossroads Wellness.

My name is Amy. I’m a registered psychologist located in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia. I’m the founder and owner of Crossroads Counselling and Psychological Services, a mental health private practice home to many wonderful, highly skilled associates — both registered psychologists and registered counselling therapists. I’ve been working as a psychologist for close to 20 years and helping people navigate their hardest moments continues to be a true privilege.

About eight years ago, I became very physically sick — sick enough that I ended up in the emergency room for a CT scan, which showed a severely inflamed bowel, on the verge of bleeding, according to the attending physician. After a week of testing, I was fortunate to get in to see a gastroenterologist for further investigation. When they told me they suspected Crohn’s disease, my heart sank.

I thought I ate well and took care of myself as best I could at that stage of life. I had three kids — 5, 2.5, and 1 years old at the time — and I didn’t have time to be sick, nor did I want to spend my life cycling through treatments. That became my motivation. I started to read. That reading led to new knowledge, and that knowledge led to changes in my diet. Those diet changes marked the beginning of my full wellness journey — one that started with health, but soon revealed that true wellness would touch nearly every part of my life.

Over the past eight years, I’ve settled into a way of eating that’s simply become my way of life, not a “diet” in the conventional sense. I started by prioritizing my nutrition, and from there, worked on everything else. Today I live a simple life, centred on peace and connection to the people and things that matter most to me. Crossroads Wellness is truly a passion project, born from knowing there are others out there who long for a greater sense of wellness in their own lives. My hope is to share what I’ve learned and to encourage others on this same path — to live more fully well across every dimension of life.
